A message from our Vice Chairman Andrew
Would you like to join me in supporting a good cause?
I’m raising money for the RNLI and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £1, £5 or £500. Every little bit helps.
Thank you for your support. It’s been an incredibly challenging year for the RNLI with most fundraising events being cancelled and our sevices being requested a record number of times in our nearly 200 year history.
This year, there is an extra special event happening for RNLI volunteers, staff and family members. I have been accepted to join volunteers and staff from across the UK and Ireland to join the Fish Supper Online Launch Event (which will be videoed) as we attempt to set a new ‘Guinness World Record’for the largest online Fish Supper. Mushy peas are optional.
UPDATE. We are so excited to announce that our world record attempt was successful, and our one crew is now the proud record holder for: ‘Most people eating a fish and chip dinner simultaneously online’.

We have received the certificate from Guinness World Records, and you can see details of the record on their website.
With the present situation of the Corona Virus the Honley RNLI branch have agreed that the most responsible and sensible decision is to postpone our bucket collection due to take place in the Morrisons Meltham store on Thursday 19th March. This decision comes at a time of unprecedented uncertainty and the health and safety of the general public must come first
